King Hussein Leaves the Mayo Clinic

After six months of treatment for lymphoma cancer at the Mayo Clinic in the United States, His Majesty King Hussein has been declared completely cured. In a televised address to the nation, HRH Crown Prince El Hassan, the Regent, read a letter written to him by King Hussein in which he announced his departure from the Mayo Clinic and his imminent return to Jordan. His Majesty said that his doctors were pleased with the results of recent tests, which were better than expected. In order to regain his normal strength, His Majesty will be spending a few days in Washington, DC, and then in London, before departing for Amman.

King Hussein entrusts Queen Noor to chair Amal Cancer Center

His Majesty entrusted Her Majesty today to chair the Board of Trustees of the Amal Cancer Center Foundation of Jordan. In a message to Queen Noor, King Hussein lauded her relentless efforts in all fields over the years. His Majesty also thanked all those who had contributed to the achievements made, and pledged full support for the foundation.
